TEMPLETON TONICS |
When you pick up a jar of Oasis by Templeton Tonics, you have no choice but to wonder: is it the most iconic homebrew hair clay? Only in 1 year Oasis has cemented its legendary status on the hairstyling indie market.
With the product coming in 4 scents - Trailhead, Heritage, Aeventus and Ritual - you’ll have no problem finding a scent that suits you the most. The jar design looks mysterious and adventurous, although it doesn’t remind me of an oasis, if I’m honest, it gives me more of Gaelic vibes.
When you open a jar of Oasis, first thing you see is a grayish substance that looks like a clay face mask. The clay is thick and creamy at the same time (although it varies from batch to batch). It scoops out relatively easy, as well as breaking it down in your hands. When you apply Oasis to your hair, a little goes a long way, so don’t overdo it, otherwise you’ll end up with unpleasantly sticky hair if you apply too much, it’s better to build the product up.
If you are looking for a styling clay that is gonna give you a strong hold and matte finish (that is also vegan and cruelty-free, because nowadays it’s very important for brands to be inclusive and to cater to different social groups), Oasis is definitely the way to go.
